KPS meal program starting

By

Kingfisher Public Schools will begin its Grab-n-Go meal program this week.

The program is for any child age 18 or younger.

“And the child doesn’t have to be a student enrolled at Kingfisher Public Schools” said Kingfisher Superintendent Jason Sternberger. “Even if they’re a home school student or enrolled in a different district, they can be served at one of our locations.”

Children will be served a breakfast and lunch each Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to noon.

The pick-up locations are:

• North side of Kingfisher Middle School;

• Vernie Snow Aquatic Center parking lot at Kingfisher Park;

• Circle drive next to Cadalack’s Collision Center.

KPS staff will be serving the meals.

Local churches, which had been providing meals for students, will shift to providing community take-out meals each Monday, Wednesday and Friday beginning at 6 p.m.
