The Surprise Extension Homemakers met Jan. 16 in the home of Loretta Kretchmar to plan its hostesses and lesson leaders for the 2020 year.

Irene George, president, led the flag salute and Homemaker’s Creed.

The members answered roll call with “An Obstacle That I Have Overcome.”

“Productive Pruning” was the devotion led by Pansy Wheeler. Members completed their Points of Excellence report with the secretary, Linda Caldwell.

“How to Overcome Obstacles” was the lesson led by Loretta Kretchmar.

The group discussed having a positive environment, giving and earning respect, listening, setting goals, plus managing time and stress.

The club will meet in February at the home of Pansy Wheeler to learn how to plan a funeral.
