Kunneman hosts Plainview HCE’s November regular meeting
The Plainview HCE met Nov. 11 at Peg Kunneman’s home and the meeting was called to order at 1:30 p.m. by President Dana Golbek.
Members recited pledges to American and Oklahoma flags. Devotional was read by Peg Kunneman from the book of Revelations.
Linda Fisher did a recording of Flanders Field in honor of Veterans Day.
Roll call was taken with seven members present and the reading of minutes was approved.
Terri Peck gave the treasurer’s report.
Discussion was held on 14 members needing to attend the Christmas luncheon outing on Dec. 10.
Members will meet at 10:15 a.m. in the former Methodist church parking lot.
Taking Christmas gifts to DHS for a child, clothing, toys and putting them in a pillow case was also discussed.
Other discussion was decorating a Christmas tree at the Chisholm Trail Museum on Nov. 20.
The Standard of Excellence form is due Jan. 17 at the county OHCE offi ce.
The district meeting is March 26, 2020, at Major County Fairgrounds, at which attendees will receive goodie bags and door prizes.
It was voted on changing the group’s meeting day to the second Tuesday of each month.
Kunneman passed out the lesson on “This Into That: Turning Old Textiles Into Something New.” Kunneman also talked about her trip to Turkey.
The meeting was adjourned and Kunneman served refreshments.
The Jan. 14, 2020, meeting will be held in the home of Diane Musick at 1:30 p.m.
