There wasn’t expected to be much resistance for Kingfisher in the opening round of the Compass Athletics Winter Basketball Classic.

And there wasn’t.

The top-seeded Lady Jackets had no problems Thursday as they sailed into the semifinals with a 52-20 victory against Woodward JV.

Kingfisher played Altus in Friday’s semifinal (after press time). Altus defeated Guymon 80-56 in its guarterfinal.

Twelve different Lady Jackets scored against Woodward JV on the Lady Boomers’ home court.

Ally Stephenson led the balanced attack with 11 points.

She scored seven in the first quarter as KHS led 15-5. The Lady Jackets turned it up a notch with a 21-3 run in the second.

Kingfisher (4-0) got six points apiece from Natalie Dick, Mya Dewberry and Allison Green.
