Lann hostess at Study Club’s November meet
Kingfisher Study Club met Nov. 6 in the Methodist Church fellowship hall with Donna Lann serving as hostess.
President Melda Fischer welcomed members and opened the meeting by reading an article entitled “The Best 6 Doctors: Sunshine, Water, Rest, Air, Exercise and Diet.”
Roll call was answered by 15 members telling for what they are grateful. Minutes and the treasurer’s report were approved.
Sherry Blair and Dana Golbek thanked Fischer for the fall decorations received at the October meeting, stating they “don’t usually win.”
In new business, the Social Committee reported a travel day will be planned after the first of the year.
The group will have a Dirty Santa gift exchange at the December meeting with a $15 limit for those participating.
In unfi nished business, the Senior Tea Committee duties and sign-up sheets were passed to members.
Dawn Ann Mendenhall introduced Brandon Trachman of Physical Therapy Central who presented the program on physical fi tness and home safety.
Trachman was joined by Megan Friesen, PT, DPT at PT Central, and together they presented exercises to help members stay active, healthy and safe.
Members present were Blair, Nancy Cravens, Fischer, Golbek, Carlene Gooden, Nancy Hasenfratz, Virginia Hellwege, Donna Lann, Clairetta Lowe, Dawn Ann Mendenhall, Judy Pannell, Terri Peck, Gerry Plummer and Linda Randall.
The meeting closed with the Club Women’s Collect.
Pumpkin roll and spiced cider were served to the members.
The next meeting will be Dec. 4 with Plummer serving as hostess and Randall the co-hostess.
