Learning the ins and outs of driving
More than two dozen Kingfisher students are taking big steps this summer toward earning their driver’s licenses. Thirty students are taking part in driver’s education classes for a number of weeks. The course required 30 hours of classroom work, which is being taught by Doug Jech. Jech has brought in a number of guest speakers, including Trent Cagle (top left) of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol; Rodney Schaefer (top right) of Johnsons of Kingfisher speaking on vehicle maintenance; Chod Trout (bottom left) of the Kingfisher Police Department; and Stacy Kitchens (bottom right), a driver examiner. Students must also take part in six hours of driving instruction, which is being taught by Jech, Gerrett Spears and T.J. Harris. [Photos provided]
