Life Chain event planned Sunday in Hennessey
Hennessey will once again be the site this Sunday of an annual pro-life event.
Life Chain, now in its 32nd year, will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, at the corner of U.S. 81 and State Highway 51.
“Life Chain is a privilege that we have to come together in a peaceful, non-political way to bring awareness of the importance of the sanctity of all human life,” said Valerie Wissman, a coordinator for the event.
The event will last one hour and will coincide with similar events taking place at the same time across the U.S. and Canada.
The local event is sponsored by the Pro-life Committee of Hennessey and Dover.
“This community event gives people a good opportunity to pray, with others, for hearts to be changed to consider each human life as precious to God,” Wissman said.
Wissman added that signs will be available for participants and those unable to stand for the hour are welcome to bring lawn chairs.
“People from the Kingfisher area are welcome to participate in the Life Chain in Hennessey,” she said.
