Live stock show champs, reserve champs listed
Exhibitors from schools throughout Kingfisher County earned high honors at the annual Kingfisher County Spring Livestock Show last week.
The bidders feed and auction Monday concluded the event. Local exhibitors received a total of $142,400 in premiums with the grand champion steer receiving the highest cumulative bid of $5,000.
Top winners by division announced Monday include:
Wether goats - Evie Harrison of Kingfisher, grand champion, and RJ. Harrison of Kingfisher, reserve.
Doe goats: Tyler Trotter of Hennessey, grand champion, and Scott Schellenberg of Kingfisher, reserve grand champion.
Wether lambs - Braden Burns of Kingfisher, grand champion, Hampshire; Darcy Roberts of Lomega, reserve grand champion, crossbreed.
Ewe Lambs: Cade Charmasson of Hennessey, grand champion (Hampshire) and reserve grand (cross).
Prospect steers - Evan Endres of Okarche, grand champion, and Kyle Fahlenkamp of Kingfisher, reserve grand.
Market steers - Kyle Fahlenkamp of Kingfisher, overall grand champion, crossbreed, and Paityn Koehn of Hennessey, reserve grand, British steer.
Beef heifers - Jhett Birdwell of Kingfisher, grand champion, Angus; reserve grand: Jarret Birdwell of Kingfisher, Simmental.
Market Swine - grand barrow, Elizabeth Perdue of Kingfisher, crossbreed, and reserve grand, Whitney Glazier of Lomega, Hampshire.
Gilts - Grand champion, Jentry Squires, Berkshire; Gunner Snider of Kingfisher, reserve grand, Hampshire.
