Local 4-H students fill ‘foster bags’ for DHS
Part of being a 4-H member is learning the importance of helping others and giving back to the community. April is National Child Abuse Awareness Month and in order to try to give back, Kingfisher County 4-H members gathered 108 foster bags to be donated to DHS. Each bag has a closure and contains a toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush or comb, blanket, and a toy or book. These bags are to be given to children as they are taken from their homes and placed into the foster care system. Members of the Lomega 4-H Club who took part were, from left, Colton Nusz, Saidee Wright, Breckon Murray, Maddy Pope, Josey Nusz and Lasi Grabow; and back row, Braxton Murray, Kinsley Fisher and Kase Glazier.
