Local automobile accident injures 2

By

Two people were injured in a recent automobile accident just south of Kingfisher’s city limits.

Debra Kay Wagner, 56, of Okarche, and Scott Alan Hatcher, 57, of Bethany, were both listed in stable condition with multiple injuries after the accident, which occurred just after 1:30 p.m. July 13, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The report said Wagner was driving a 2013 Fiat 500 north on U.S. 81 when it struck a 2008 Honda CRV driven by Brandi Michelle Nault, 34, of Elk City, from behind.

Nault had slowed for traffic ahead, according to the report, at Stride Road, or EW 830 Road.

Neither Nault nor two children in the car suffered injuries.

Wagner was taken by Kingfisher EMS to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher and later transferred to Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City with a leg injury.

Hatcher was taken to the Kingfisher hospital with head, arm, leg and trunk injuries.

The report said both drivers and all passengers were using seatbelts or in appropriate child restraint systems.
