Local departments benefit from latest round of Devon donations

Devon Energy recently donated to 21 agencies in its operating area in its effort to support emergency responders.

Five of those donations went to departments in Kingfisher County.

“Emergency responders must have the proper tools to do their jobs and save lives,” said Tangi Smith, Devon community relations specialist.

“Devon is proud to continually support people who protect and serve, especially during these difficult economic times.”

Recipients include:

• Blaine County Sheriff’s Office

• Caddo County Sheriff’s Office

• Calumet Fire Department

• Canadian County Sheriff’s Office

• Cogar Volunteer Fire Department

• Custer County Sheriff’s Office

• El Reno Fire Department ment

• Geary Volunteer Fire Department

• Greenfield Volunteer Fire Department

• Hinton Volunteer Fire Department

• Hydro Volunteer Fire Department

• Kingfisher Fire Department

• Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office

• Loyal Volunteer Fire Department

• Oakwood Fire Department

• Okarche Fire Department

• Omega Volunteer Fire Department

• Putnam Volunteer Fire Department

• Seiling Fire Department

• Watonga Fire Department

• Weatherford Fire Department

The donations will help the organizations purchase needed equipment and better serve their local communities, Smith said.
