The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following traffic accidents:

Feb. 4, 3:45 p.m. — Seventh Street and Miles Avenue. Fraul Crus Frias, 51, of Midlothian, Texas, driving a 2005 Kenworth; Wendal Dean Brodrick, 73, of Kingfisher, driving a 2008 Chevrolet K15.

Both units were traveling north on Seventh Street approaching Miles Ave., with Brodrick behind Frias. According to the report from Officer Aaron Schlegel, Brodrick stated that the Frias truck was pulling over to the right into a parking area (on the west side of Memorial Hall), coming to a stop. This left Frias partially in the roadway and partially in the parking area. As Brodrick approached the intersection, Frias began to drive off, turning left (west) onto Miles Ave.

Brodrick stated he began to back up because Frias must not have seen him, but he could not back up fast enough. The Frias trailer struck the front fender of Brodrick’s vehicle.

According to Officer Richard Staton, Reherman was stopped facing north in the west parking lot of 1400 South Oak Street, at the intersecting street of Chisholm. Varnell was directly behind. According to the report from Lt. Travis Gray, both vehicles were eastbound on Broadway at the Main Street stoplight. Walta was stopped and Tucker was coming from behind. Tucker advised that he heard a metal grinding noise when he applied the brake and was unable to stop, striking the Walta vehicle from the rear. Both vehicles traveled through the intersection and parked next to the Courthouse.

Walta reported that she did not feel right, nauseated and dizzy, and was transported to the doctor by her husband.

Feb. 25, 10:05 a.m. — Sixth Street and Miles Avenue. John Reherman, 67, of Kingfisher, driving a 2015 Chevrolet; Jason J. Hedderman, 26, driving a 2016 Ford. According to the report from Lt.
