Local traffic accidents
The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department: August 3, 4:01 p.m. - At S.H. 33 and North 13th Street.
Mac Branscum, 78, Laverne, driving a 2020 Toyota Highlander, was westbound on S.H. 33 near the 13th Street intersection.
A 16-year-old female, Kingfisher, driving a 2014 Ford Fusion, was southbound on North 13th Street and stopped at the stop sign.
According to the report, the 16-year-old driver proceeded into the intersection and struck the Branscum vehicle in the rear passenger side.
The Branscum vehicle left the roadway and “traveled a great distance into the field before coming to rest,” the report said.
Disabling damage was reported to the 16-yearold’s vehicle and unknown damage to the Branscum vehicle.
No injuries were reported.

August 3, 12:45 p.m. - At 2200 S. Main St.
Roberta Huiatt, 81, Watonga, driving a 2023 Ford Expedition, backed out of a parking space at Boeckman Ford and while proceeding forward struck two parked vehicles - both 2023 Ford F350s.
Minor damage was reported to the Huiatt vehicle as well as the Ford F350s.
No injuries were reported.
Lieutenant Dustin Brodrick investigated the accident.
August 4, 6:58 p.m. - At 300 S. 13th St.
A 15-year-old male, Kingfisher, driving a 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe, was westbound on a private road, departed the roadway to the right and struck a utility pole.
According to the report, the utility pole was broken off at the base and “the main portion” was located approximately 15 feet away.
Unknown damage was reported to the 15-yearold’s vehicle.
No injuries were reported.

August 5, 11:14 p.m. - At 300 S. 13th St.
A 16-year-old female, Cashion, driving a 2011 Lincoln MKZ, backed into the eastbound exit lane of a private roadway.
Summer Yost, 26, Kingfisher, driving a 2014 Dodge Ram, was also eastbound in the exit lane and struck the 16-year-old’s vehicle in the rear.
Minor damage was reported to the 16-year-old’s vehicle and unknown damage to the Yost vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
