Lomega’s Ott earns scholarship
Tate Ott, a graduate of Lomega High School, has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship from Farm Credit of Enid.
He is the son of John and Debra Ott of Ames and plans to attend Oklahoma State University.
The Farm Credit of Enid scholarship is given to outstanding high school seniors who are furthering their education and who have parents or grandparents who are voting stockholders of the institution.
Scholarships are given annually based on academic performance, extracurricular participation, work experience and leadership activities.
Recipients of the scholarship are chosen by an independent panel of judges.
Ott won a number of honors in high school in FFA, cross country, track and field and basketball as well as academically. He was a member of
He was a member of the National Honor Society, was named Loyal Lions Club Student of the Semester and to the American Farmers and Ranchers Youth Advisory Council.
He plans to major in agricultural education at OSU.
