Lomega 4-H holds awards picnic

By
Ian Pope Lomega 4-h Reporter

With masks on and as close as they could while still trying to keep apart, the Lomega 4-H held a picnic in early November at the home of club leaders Doug and Marna Davis to recognize their club members who won awards for achievement in Kingfisher County

The county award winners from Lomega were:

• Ian Pope - Bronze

• Maddy Pope - Silver and Junior Farm Bureau Award

• Breckon Murray - Silver and Junior Farm Bureau Award

• Braxton Murray - Senior Farm Bureau Award and gold medal

• Saidee Wright - Senior Farm Bureau award and gold medal. Wright also won the Kingfisher County Paula Hellwege Challenge Award.

After awards were presented, the club members put on a skit honoring Kingfisher County Extension Agent Laine Martin and held an officer initiation program.

The Lomega club holds its regularly scheduled meeting the first Wednesday of each month at Loyal Methodist Church.
