Louthan photos exhibited next month in B’ville
A local photographer will have some of his fine art photography displayed next month in the Bartlesville Conference Center (The Center).
The exhibit will feature the work of Michael Louthan, an internationally- recognized and published landscape photographer who was raised in Bartlesville, but currently lives in Kingfisher.
The exhibit will run through December and will feature large images showing the interplay of light on landscape and includes his travels this year to Patagonia, Iceland, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia, as well as the Southwest United States during thunderstorm season.
Louthan is a 1971 graduate of Sooner High School and 1975 graduate of Phillips University.
He will display framed and glassed photography from his most recent world travel, as well as a portfolio of black and white images.
This display of remote international landscapes will include framed images and large acrylics.
All items will be for sale. A reception is planned from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, with refreshments.
Louthan will host an added reception from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7.
The fine art will be on display during December in regular building hours.
The Lyon Gallery (third floor) and Convention Center Building was designed and built by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation.
It shares the plaza with the Wright-designed Price Tower, his only skyscraper.
Louthan currently has an exhibit on display at The Chisholm in Kingfisher.
It features a black and white photographed history of farmhouses and land within Kingfisher County.
It is expected to run through next year.
