Sternberger updated the board on the construction of the new seventh and eighth grade facility. He said crews were ahead of schedule before the recent freezing temperatures and snow slowed them down.

However, Sternberger said, the project is still on schedule.

One portion of the building’s roof is completely finished and crews began working on the second portion Monday.

About 85 percent of the interior framing is complete and the electricians and plumbers are roughed in.

Of the $14.1 million budgeted for the building, about $5.7 has been spent to date, Sternberger said.
