Marathon Oil honors area first responders
Marathon Oil hosted its annual STACK Area First Responders Appreciation Event at the Watonga Field Office last week. “We recognize the critical role first responders play in serving the communities where we work and live and we are proud to partner with them,” said Katie Altshuler, government and community relations lead for Marathon Oil. Among those in attendance were members of the Kingfisher Fire Department, Kingfisher City-County Emergency Management Services, Kingfisher Sheriff’s Office, Okarche Emergency Management Service, Okarche Fire Department, Oklahoma Highway Patrol and more. All of those organizations and others were given a donation. Also attending was Rep. Mike Sanders. “I can’t thank the first responders enough for what they do and the sacrifices they make to keep all of us safe,” Sanders said. “They don’t get recognized enough for their jobs, but Marathon Oil has made this appreciation luncheon a tradition and I appreciate them so much for giving so much back to our communities.” [Photo provided]
