Wheatheart Nutrition Project Inc. will no longer be serving communal meals at the Kingfisher Masonic Lodge but will be delivering meals to seniors.

“We will continue to feed our seniors as long as we can get the supplies needed,” Linda Biby, Wheatheart secretary, said. “We are delivering shelf stable meals to their homes at this time.”

Even though the Kingfisher Senior Citizens Center is closed to the public, Meals on Wheels also is still delivering meals to local elderly and homebound.

Local churches are sharing excess lunches not distributed to school students with Meals on Wheels to extend that agency’s service capacity.
