The statewide car club will leave Yukon High School at 10:45 a.m. and cruise through El Reno, Okarche, Kingfisher and Dover before its members will stage a free Main Street car show in Hennessey.

“Some of the cars and motorcycles will reach Hennessey at about noon and the rest should be in at about 1 p.m.,” said Tony Blackburn, a member of the group and owner of Golden Chick.

“All the restaurants and most businesses will be open,” he said.

Contact: Tony Blackburn (405-503-8173).

Blackburn told Hennessey’s town board last week that he’d talked with businesses and restaurants in Hennessey “and they’ll all be open.”

“Many of the restaurants ran out of food at the last cruise and this cruise is required for members,” Blackburn continued.

“It’s something that will bring a little normalcy that we haven’t had in a long time. It will also help businesses and particularly restaurants who’ve had tough times during COVID.”
