National champs recognized at state Capitol

By

The Kingfisher FFA Chapter’s two national championship teams were honored at the state Capitol on April 8, by House Majority Leader, Rep. Mike Sanders, Sen. Darcy Jech and Sen. Chuck Hall. The chapter’s agriculture issues and livestock judging teams won national championships in their respective events at the National FFA Convention last fall. Both teams, along with Adviser Lori Burns, were recognized on both House and Senate floors. “These incredible students continue the Kingfisher FFA tradition of excellence,” Sanders said. “Under the leadership of both Ryan and Lori Burns, the Kingfisher FFA Chapter once again remains on top. I’m so proud of these students, their commitment and work ethic. Amazing kids,” he said.
