Hennessey’s town board hired another lifeguard in a special meeting Thursday morning due to the average daily attendance of 300, said Tiffany Tillman, town administrator.

The board hired Grace Curran, a certified lifeguard, Tillman said.

That makes nine lifeguards hired so far, but doesn’t include the pool manager and assistant manager.

The new pool opened Monday and is limited to 302 at any one time.

Pool hours are noon- 6 p.m. Monday-Saturday, 1-6 p.m. Sunday and night swims are planned from 7-9 p.m. each Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
