OERB donates toward STEM education at KPS
Oklahoma Energy Resources Board presented Kingfisher Public Schools with a check for $2,000 during the recent high school football game at Bridge Creek. The money will be used to purchase calculators for the high school math and science classes and furthers the industry’s commitment to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education, said OERB Executive Director Mindy Stitt. “The people of Oklahoma oil and natural gas are committed to supporting education and investing in our future leaders,” said Stitt, a Dover native who is pictured in the center. “Kingfisher is home to many people who work in the industry and we are devoted to giving back to the community.” Accepting the check on behalf of Kingfisher is Athletic Director Jay Wood, left.
