Four Okarche speech students received state medals as the 2018-19 competitive speech season came to an end at the Oklahoma State Speech and Debate Tournament.  

Katie and Rob Bomhoff placed third in humorous duet.

This is the second time the Bomhoffs have placed at the state tournament in humorous duet.

Katie also brought home two other medals: Fourth in original oratory and fifth in poetry.

Okarche also had two students in the top six in prose.

Emily Neuenschwander was state runner-up in the event and teammate Mackenzie Stewart placed fifth.

Also competing at the state competition were Sara Bomhoff, Jaxcey Beau-champ, Carsyn Taylor, Matt Carney, Jack Schroeder, Michael Smoot, Lyric Hickok, and Angelica Mojica.
