Participants sought for online health discussion
Kingfisher County’s Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust Healthy Living Program wants to hear from Kingfisher and Hennessey residents about community health concerns.
Wellness coordinator Blair Coughlan is conducting two online Zoom discussions focused on developing a local consensus about each community’s health needs and future planning.
The listening sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 23, in Kingfisher and Thursday, Feb. 25, in Hennessey. Bothbegin at 10 a.m.
“The conversation will include asking about each person’s view of our community’s future. The purpose is not to debate any particular issue but rather to be open and curious about all perspectives and see what we learn from one another,” Coughlan said.
“The format of the listening session that I will be following will allow everyone’s voice to be heard. Because we’ll be online, we ask that you use a device with a camera and microphone so that you can fully participate.
“You may also want some note-taking tools to use during the session.”
Both sessions are open to the public, but participants are asked to RSVP by emailing Coughlan at blairc@ healt.ok.gov so that they can be sent the link to the Zoom meeting for their area.
Coughlan also can be reached via telephone at the Kingfisher County Health Department for more information. “We welcome everyone to join this pioneering conversation group,” she said.
