Pete Brown returns to OERB board

By

Pete Brown, cofounder of Kingfisher-based Brown & Borelli Inc., has returned to a seat on the board of directors of the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board.

An oil and gas industry veteran of more than 50 years, Brown was a cofounder of the OERB and helped write the establishing legislation for the board.

The Oklahoma Energy Resources Board (OERB) is pleased welcome Pete Brown back to its board of directors.

“I helped create the OERB because I believe deeply in its mission and the work we do in Oklahoma,” Brown said. “I’m happy to be back on the board of directors and look forward to helping continue to move our programs forward.”

Originally appointed to the OERB in 1991, Brown is past chairman of the board. He serves on the Petroleum Association of America and the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission.

He is a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen and the Oklahoma City Association of Petroleum Landmen.

Created by the Oklahoma Legislature in 1993, the OERB is funded voluntarily by oil and natural gas producers and royalty owners through a one-tenth of 1 percent assessment on the sale of oil and natural gas.

The OERB’s purpose is to conduct environmental restoration of historic well sites and to educate Oklahomans about oil and natural gas.
