Plainview HCE gathers for January meeting

Ten Members of the Plainview HCE held its monthly meeting Monday, Jan. 14, at the home of Debbie Winters.

Dana Golbek, president brought the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m.

Members recited pledges to the American and Oklahoma flags followed by the monthly devotion.

Roll call was taken and reading of minutes. The treasurer’s report on club’s financial status was provided and Terri Peck presented Rilee Lucas $450 towards her enrollment at OSU.

Plainview received a “thank you” letter from Kingfisher County Santa’s Toyland for donations towards the project.

The members had discussions on amount of scholarship fund and amount to be given. Members also had discussion on new decorations for a tree at the museum and other community service projects.

Members volunteered to be lesson leaders and hostesses for the local club meetings. Debbie Winters gave the lesson on “Improving Your Community Service.”  

Members mentioned ways they individually help in the community.

The meeting adjourned at 3 p.m. and refreshments were served by Winters.
