Plainview HCE meeting held, next one set
The Plainview HCE met at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12, at Beth Evans’ home.
Dana Golbek, president, brought the meeting to order.
Members recited pledges to American and Oklahoma flags, followed by the devotion.
Roll call was taken with nine members present and the minutes of the previous meeting were read.
Terri Peck gave the treasurer’s report and the thank-you card from Cole Crosswhite was read.
The group set a cash donation to help the Kingfisher County 4-H with its achievement banquet and awards program. Also, it was discussed as to when to meet at the fairgrounds for entries.
Evans gave the lesson on “I didn’t know my slow cooker could do that” and provided literature giving ideas and using appliances for alternative purposes.
The meeting was adjourned and refreshments were served from the slow cooker.
The September meeting will be at Peck’s home on Monday, Sept. 9.
