PLAYING TO THE HOME CROWD AT LAST

By

Even though Okarche High School’s drama department has been a nearly perennial state contender and four-time state champion in one-act play competition under the direction of Lyndal Westmoreland, a lack of local venue meant hometown audiences rarely had the pleasure of seeing the winning plays performed. Until this year. Westmoreland plans to debut the first public performance of this year’s contest selection, The Insanity of Mary Girard, in the new black box theatre constructed at OHS from proceeds of a bond issue approved by voters.
