POPPY PATROL

POPPY PATROL — Kingfisher American Legion Auxiliary is selling handmade poppies in the coming weeks for residents to wear on May 24 for National Poppy Day, which recognizes American soldiers killed in battle. From left are Roxie Alexander, poppy chairman; Gladys Hopkins, auxiliary president; Caroline Johnston, secretary, and Bonnie Armstrong, longtime member. In exchange for the poppies, donations will be accepted to benefit the local American Legion’s many philanthropic programs. These women will be distributing poppies to local offices and other businesses. [Photo Provided]
