The Plainview HCE met at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, at Paula Post’s home.

Beth Evans, vice present, brought the meeting to order.

Post read the devotional and roll call was taken with 11 members and one guest, Mickey Post, present.

The reading of the minutes was approved and the treasurer’s report was given.

Unfinished business was changing the Christmas outing from Dec. 9 to Dec. 10 at the Red Roof Bed and Breakfast location with members paying $18 each.

Peg Kunneman made the motion to move the date. Members will meet at Methodist Church parking lot at 11 a.m.

Discussion on decorating the Chisholm Trail Museum’s old schoolhouse and bank building before Thanksgiving will be decided at the November meeting.

Other discussions included bringing Christmas gifts for DHS and putting them in a pillowcase made or bought; also on changing the meeting day to Tuesday, which will be decided in November meeting.

County Council night will be hosted by the Happy Homemakers Club at the Chisholm Trail Museum.

The October leader lesson was on air fyers and presented by Post. She had fi ve different samples to taste.

The meeting was adjourned and refreshments were served by Post.

The November meeting will be held at the home of Peg Kunneman at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11.
