Quartet of KHS seniors guests at Kingfisher Rotary Club

Four Kingfisher High School seniors were guests at a recent meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club.

Joining the civic group were Ashley Poarch, Callie Varnell, Maximillian Rayner and Kamdyn Duncanson.

Poarch is the daughter of Trey and Hope Poarch.

She’s active in softball and also is a wrestling manager.

She plans to attend Red-lands Community College and eventually pursue a career as a teacher.

Varnell is the daughter of Randall and Tara Varnell.

She is active in band, the swim team, academic team and Dead Poets Society.

She is the Band Council vice president, a member of the National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society and has also earned the Four-Point Award and the Certificate of Academic Excellence.

Varnell plans to attend college and pursue a career in architecture.

Rayner is the son of Erin Duey and Aaron Rayner.

He’s active in band and photography, earning multiple honors in both activities.

Rayner has also been named to the National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society.

Rayner plans to pursue a career as an author.

Duncanson is the daughter of Bendy Hulet and Riki Redus.

She is active in band, academic team, Dead Poets Society, Gender-Sexuality Alliance and Native American Club.

She’s also a member of the National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society, the Oklahoma Indian Student Honor Society and is the senior representative for the Band Council.

Duncanson has earned the Four-Point Award, Certificate of Academic Excellence and has been listed on the principal’s honor roll.

She plans to attend Southwestern Oklahoma State University to major in music education and pursue a career as a band director.
