Race is on for municipal seats

After a slow start in the first day and a half of the municipal filing period last week, races have developed in every town with open seats.

The municipal offices at stake in Kingfisher County will be filled in the nonpartisan election scheduled April 6:

Town of Hennessey

Two town trustees, with fouryear terms of office, ending April 2025: Harold Shaw, Keith Meek, Rachel Don Rogers.

(Voters will choose two of the three and the top two vote-getters will win the seats.)

Town treasurer, with a fouryear term ending April 2025: Shelley Burch, filed unopposed.

Town clerk, two-year unexpired term ending April 2023: Kati Walters, incumbent, filed unopposed.

Town of Okarche

Town trustee, Ward 2, fouryear term expiring in 2025: Jeff Sadler, incumbent, filed unopposed.

Town trustee, Ward 3, fouryear unexpired term ending in 2023: Brooke ThorntonjeffBrueggen, John P. Endres, Robert Ford.

Town treasurer, four-year term expiring in 2025: Brian Schieber, filed unopposed.

Town of Dover

Two trustees, with four-year terms expiring in 2025: Abette Bryan and G.R. Kirkpatrick, incumbents, filed without opposition.

City of Kingfisher

City commissioner, four-year term at large, expiring in 2025: Richard R. Reynolds, incumbent; Kaci Farrar and Geoff Covalt.
