Raney repeats conference academic honor
Rogers State University men’s basketball’s Vaughn Raney was named to the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) Men’s Basketball Honor Roll.
Raney is a 2016 Cashion High School graduate, where he earned OCA All-State honors.
He was named to the honor with a GPA of 3.75.
A medical/molecular biology major, Raney was also named to the Heartland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll last year.
To be recognized on the Academic Honor Roll, one must have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of 3.00 at the certifying member institution.
The individual must also have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.
Raney and the rest of the Hillcats, which includes 2019 Kingfisher High School graduate Jett Sternberger, capped off an historic season reaching the NCAA Basketball Tournament for the first time in program history.
