Recent Kingfisher Police Department reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
August 15 - Malicious injury/destruction of property. Officer Dillon Chaloupek responded to a report of a possible vehicle break-in and vandalism in the 100 block of West Will Rogers. A woman reportedly stated she witnessed two known individuals inside her 2003 Chevrolet truck without her permission and after they left, she discovered the ignition was no longer operable. According to the report, officers made contact with one of the individuals and he admitted to being in the vehicle, but denied damaging the ignition. Chaloupek stated in his report that he informed the suspect that he would be filing a report with the district attorney’s office for vandalism and attempted larceny of a motor vehicle.
August 16 - Complaint (subject jumped from bridge). Officer Brandon Chapman responded to a report of a man jumping from the bridge on East Bowman over Uncle John Creek. Upon arrival, officers checked along the banks of the creek in the vicinity of the bridge, but did not observe any subjects in the water or along the bank, according to the report. Officer Matthew Hollon observed fresh footprints exiting the water along the bank and the Kingfisher Fire Department was dispatched to the area, the report said. Fire Department officials were unable to locate any subjects in the water or on the bank near the bridge, according to the report. Officer Charles Trout assisted with the investigation.
August 17 - Larceny of merchandise from retail er. Officer Justin Trumbley responded to a report of theft at Angelita’s, 224 N. Main St. An employee reportedly stated a woman wearing a face mask and sunglasses entered the dressing room with five items of clothing. Upon exiting, the woman stated she wanted to purchase the items left in the dressing room, but needed to retrieve cash from her vehicle, according to the report. The woman didn’t return and there were only two items remaining in the dressing room, the employee reportedly stated. The three items of missing clothing had a reported value of approximately $140.
August 17 - Petit larceny. Officer Justin Trumbley took a report of theft from the 1500 block of South 10th Street. According to the report, Harold Massey stated that two lawn chairs were taken from his residence. The reported value of the chairs is approximately $100.
August 21 - Domestic assault and battery. Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of a domestic altercation in the 100 block of South Main Street. Officer Jason East and Deputy Todd Davis assisted with the investigation.
