Recent KPD incident reports

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

May 26 - Domestic abuse assault and battery. Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of an altercation in the Braum’s parking lot, 1615 S. Main St.

According to the report, the individuals involved in the altercation had left the scene and officers located them in the area of U.S. 81 and Robberts Avenue.

Officers Justin Trumbley, Justin Conner and Jason East assisted with the investigation.

May 27 - Public intoxication and planning or threatening violent act.

Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of a suspicious male in the vicinity of West Seventh Street and Sheridan Avenue.

Conner said in his report the 40-year-old male exhibited signs of intoxication and admitted to drinking alcohol, but would not state how much.

The suspect was placed under arrest for public intoxication and while being transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center threatened officers, the report said.

The suspect was additionally charged with planning or threatening a violent act.

Officer Jason East assisted with the investigation.

May 29 - Complaint. Officer Ryan Gibson responded to a report of a hit and run in Walmart parking lot, 200 W. Starlite Drive.

According to the report, a witness stated a Chevy Impala struck a Jeep Gladiator in the parking lot and left the scene.

The witness provided the tag number of the Impala, according to the report.

Gibson said in his report that he examined the Jeep and didn’t notice any damage and the owner agreed that he was unable to find any damage.

Officer Brandon Chapman noticed a small red paint transfer on the trailer hitch, the report said.

Gibson said in his report that he obtained surveillance footage of the incident and witnessed a red Impala strike the Jeep and leave the scene.
