The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following report:

February 20 - Public intoxication and bringing or possessing contraband in jail or penal institution.

Officer Briston Lowry responded to a report of a disturbance in the 500 block of East Sykes Avenue.

According to the report, a resident stated a known male individual was on his property and refused to leave, butleftbefore officers arrived.

Lowry stated in his report that he located the 44-year-old male suspect walking down the street and made contact with him. According to the report, the suspect exhibited signs of intoxication and was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to the county jail.

During the booking process, a hand-rolled cigar containing a green leafy substance was discovered in the suspect’s jacket, the report said.

The greenleafy substance field tested positive for marijuana and the suspect was additionally charged with bringing contraband into a penal institution, according to the report.

The hand-rolled cigar was photographed and packaged as evidence and the green leafy substance sent to OSBI for further testing.
