The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

December 27 - Burglary- second degree and larceny from the house.

Officer Aaron Schlegel took a report of theft at Cattlemen’s Inn, 224 W. Broadway Ave.

According to the report, two residents of the motel reported that birth certificates, Social Security cards, an ID card, a necklace and other items were taken from their room while they were incarcerated.

December 27 - Fraudulent use of credit card number.

Officer Steven Renbarger took a report of credit card fraud in the 1600 block of Anna Place.

According to the report, Deborah Maehs stated multiple fraudulent charges were made on her credit card to Petco.

The total reported amount of the charges was $539.16.

Sergeant Charles Trout assisted with the investigation.

December 27 - Unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

Officer Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he observed a southbound vehicle on U.S. 81 exit its lane to the right and he initiated a traffic stop.

According to the report, the 48-year-old female driver gave the officer consent to search her vehicle.

Schlegel said in his report that he observed a partial marijuana joint and a pill bottle containing a pill which did not match the label on the bottle.

When asked by the offi cer if the suspect had a prescription for the pill, she responded “no,” the report said.

The suspect was issued a warning for failure to maintain lane and district citations for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officer Justin Conner assisted with the investigation.

December 28 - Failure to wear seatbelt, expired tag, operate vehicle while suspended/ denied/ revoked, failure to show insurance, possession of dangerous drugs prohibited- marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officer Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he observed an eastbound vehicle on East Bowman Avenue with an expired tag and initiated a traffic stop.

According to the report, the 54-year-old female suspect was determined to be driving without a valid driver’s license or insurance, a defective windshield and was not wearing a seatbelt.

Inventory of the vehicle yielded a jar of THC concentrated wax and a smoking pipe with yellow and black residue, the report said.

The suspect was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle while driver’s license is suspended, failure to wear properly adjusted safety belt, operating a motor vehicle on which all taxes due to state have not been paid, failure to comply with the compulsory insurance law, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center and the evidence was photographed and packaged.

Sergeant Justin Trumbley assisted with the investigation.

December 28 - Public intoxication and kidnapping.

Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel reported that he observed a dispute in progress at Love’s Country Store, 203 S. Main St., and made contact with the suspects.

McDaniel said in his report that he observed a male attempting to disengage a female who was involved in a confrontation with two other females.

According to the report, the individuals knew each other and were having a verbal disagreement.

As the 45-year-old female and 41-year-old female entered a vehicle, the driver appeared scared and indicated she didn’t know the suspects, the report said.

The driver explained to the officer that she had gotten off work at Casey’s when the pair got into her back seat without invitation and she drove them to Love’s because she was under the impression that if she did not give the suspects a ride she would be physically harmed and felt intimidated, according to the report.

McDaniel said in his report the two suspects appeared to be intoxicated and were taken into custody and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
