Recent KPD reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
October 12 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer. — Officer Jarred Tech responded to a report of theft at Casey’s General Store, 102 S. Main St. According to the report, a 30-year-old female brought several items to the checkout counter and “acted like she put her card in the machine and then grabbed the items and left.” Employees were able identify the suspect and it was later determined the incident was an accident and the suspect returned to pay for the items, the report said.
October 14 - Planning or threatening violent act. — Lieutenant Dustin Brodrick responded to a report of threats at Kingfisher High School, 1500 S. 13th St. According to the report, a 42-year-old male suspect made threatening statements to a teacher at parent teacher conferences. The suspect was later informed by Brodrick that he had been trespassed from all school property and events, the report said.
October 14 - Malicious injury/destruction of property. — Officer Aubrey Massey responded to a report of property damage in the 600 block of East Robberts Avenue. According to the report, the reporting party stated he noticed damage to his vehicle that morning and wanted to make a police report in order to file an insurance claim.
October 15 - Domestic assault and battery/ abuse. — Officer Steven Renbarger responded to a report of an altercation in the 800 block of South Third Street. Sergeant Justin Conner and Deputy Victor Diaz assisted with the investigation.
October 16 - Grand larceny. — Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of theft in the 800 block of Aspen Drive. A resident reportedly stated she had purchased an engine to be installed by friend, who took possession of the engine, and she paid the individual $400 for the labor to be performed. According to the report, the resident stated the work was not completed and she made many unsuccessful attempts to get the engine (and coinciding parts) returned to her and would like to report it stolen. Sergeant Justin Conner assisted with the investigation.
October 17 - Leaving scene of accident damaged fixture. — Sergeant Justin Conner responded to a report of property damage at Jacket Corner, 701 N. Main St. According to the report, a 78-year-old male suspect’s vehicle was exiting the parking lot and its trailer struck a gas pump, resulting in approximately $500 of damage to the pump. The known suspect left the scene, but later agreed to pay for the damage, the report said. Officer Aubrey Massey assisted with the investigation.
October 20 - Malicious injury/destruction of property. — Lieutenant Justin Trumbley responded to a report of property damage at CHS, 502 E. Admire Ave. According to the report, it was discovered that two windows on the east side of the grain elevator had been broken.
October 21 - Public intoxication. — Officer Michael Farrar responded to a report of an unwanted individual in the 200 block of East Fay Avenue. According to the report, the 38-year-old male suspect was located and appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication. The suspect was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
October 25 - Operate vehicle while suspended, denied, revoked and warrant. — Officer Steven Renbarger said in his report that he observed a vehicle in the area of U.S. 81 and Seay Avenue with an expired tag and he initiated a traffic stop. According to the report, the 22-year-old male suspect was driving with a suspended license and had an active warrant in Garfield County. The suspect was placed under arrest for driving while suspended and the outstanding warrant and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center. Officer Jarred Tech assisted with the investigation.
