Red Rock Behavioral Health Center turns nobody away, Lions Club told
Amy Parker, therapist, and Sherri Worth, licensed practical nurse, with Red Rock Behavioral Health Services were the guest speakers of the Kingfi sher Lions Club last week.
The pair explained the operation of the facility, located at 107 N. Main St.in Kingfisher, which offers a variety of mental health services to adults and children in this area.
They said Red Rock is serviced by eight full-time employees who provide services such as mental health screening, case management, youth services, home services, psychiatric rehabilitation, emergency services, drug court and medical clinic services, among others.
Red Rock accepts all forms of insurance and receives state and federal funds, as well as funding through the Oklahoma State Department of Mental Health.
“We don’t turn anyone away,” Parker said.
Red Rock maintains offices in 10 locations throughout central and western Oklahoma.
She said they work with Kingfisher County Drug Court as well as Kingfi sher County Department of Human Services in providing mental health therapy and case management to those in need.
They said an emphasis of Red Rock is to work with families that have children struggling with behavioral/emotional issues through an integrated care approach.
They added the goal was to reduce the risk of out-of-home placement by focusing on both the mental health of the youth and family.
They encouraged anyone within the community with questions to please drop in at the office or call for an appointment.
“As we said earlier, we don’t turn anyone away. We’re here to help,” Parker said.
