Retired educators meet next Wednesday
Kingfisher County Retired Educators will hold its first meeting of the 2020-21 year next week.
The group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at the Kingfisher Farm Bureau building, 117 W. Sheridan, in Kingfisher.
This is a new meeting place.
Blair Coughlan, wellness coordinator for the TSET Healthy Living Program at the Kingfisher County Health Department, will be the speaker.
All retired teachers and support personnel are invited and encouraged to attend.
Local dues are $10.
Members 90 years of age or over do not pay dues.
Money is used to support the group’s scholarship fund. A scholarship is presented each year to a college senior from Kingfisher County majoring in the field of education.
Officers for the year are: Terri Peck, president; Nancy Teders, vice president; Debbie Jorgensen, treasurer; and Donna Jech, secretary.
