Road projects to start
Kingfisher County commissioners approved notices to proceed on two asphalt overlay projects by Haskell Lemon Construction Co. based on low bids submitted earlier Tuesday at their weekly meeting.
One project is in District 2 – NS 2830 Road from the Cimarron River Bridge north to S.H. 51, and the second is in District 1 – EW 760 Road.
Commissioners also approved a notice to proceed order for Affordable Fence Co. to build a chain link fence and gate at the District 1 shop north of Kingfisher.
Other actions included approving resolutions to approve disposing of a 1994 loader and a Kenwood radio, both belonging to District 1, adding Dennis Holmes as requisition officer for District 1 and removing Clayton Morse at the Cashion Fire Department.
They also heard a discussion by Dennis Seigman who requested installation of a culvert one-half mile east of Banner Road on EW 670 Road.
Seigman said an older culvert has become clogged and presents an obstruction to the natural water flow.
District 2 Commissioner Ray Alan Shimanek agreed to look into the situation.
Commissioners approved pipeline road crossing permits for the following:
• Complete Energy Services – two three inch poly lines in District 2, one six miles south and four miles east of Hennessey and one three miles east of Hennessey.
• Recoil Oilfield Services – 12-inch flat line located three miles east and three miles south of Kingfisher, District 1.
• Encana – 12-inch lay flat line located seven miles west and one mile south of Kingfisher, District 3.
• Select Energy Services – three-inch poly line located one mile south and one mile east of Dover, District 2.
• Great Plains Midstream – four-inch and six-inch steel gas lines located five miles south and eight miles west of Hennessey, District 2.
District 1 Commissioner Jeff Moss and District 3 Commissioner Heath Dobrovolny joined Shimanek in making all actions unanimous.
County Clerk Jeannie Boevers served as minute clerk. County Engineer Nik Smith and County Pipeline Inspector Cody Murray also attended the meeting.
