Rotary District Governor Visits Kingfisher Club

By

Rotary District 5750 Governor Lance Singleton, left, made his official visit to the Kingfisher Rotary Club last week. Kingfisher Rotary President Neal Brown, right, introduced him to club members and guests. Singleton presented reports on a variety of subjects, one of which was the current status of the Rotary PolioPlus campaign to eliminate Polio worldwide. PolioPlus was started by Rotary in 1985. After 34 years, only two countries, Pakistan and Afghanistan, have active Polio cases. Over 2.5 billion children have received the oral polio vaccine during that time. The Global Polio Eradication campaign continues in those two politically unstable war-torn countries, Singleton said. [KT&FP Staff Photo]
