Rotary hosts 4 KHS seniors

A quartet of Kingfisher High School seniors attended last week’s Kingfisher Rotary Club meeting as guests.

Attending were Emma Barnett, Kenzie Smith, Keely Franks and Keaton Abercrombie.

Barnett is the daughter of Fay and Tiffanie Barnett.

She’s active in cheer, soccer, cross country, student council and FCA.

She’s been inducted into the National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society.

Barnett said she plans to attend either Oklahoma Baptist University or the University of Central Oklahoma and pursue a career as a pediatric physician’s assistant.

Smith is the daughter of Sharla and Ricky Petty.

She’s active in FFA, FCCLA, student council and the Spanish Club.

Smith has been listed on the principal’s honor roll.

Smith said she plans to study nursing in college.

Franks is the daughter of Clinton and Carly Franks.

She’s active in cheer-leading, tennis, FCA and student council.

Like Barnett, she’s been a part of cheer squads that have qualified for state three times.

Franks said she plans to attend Oklahoma State and work towards a degree in forensics. She plans to pursue a career as a crime scene investigator.

Abercrombie is the son of Tim Abercrombie and Rockelle Jeter.

He’s active in football, baseball, FCA, student council and FCCLA.

He’s in a leadership class and was crowned class king.

Abercrombie plans to play baseball at the collegiate level.
