Rotary hosts quartet of KHS seniors

Four Kingfisher High School seniors were guests recently at a meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club. Joining the local civic group were Addison Shelton, Elizabeth Pickle, Madison Farrar and Miriah Hernandez.

Shelton is the daughter of Miranda Shelton. She’s active in FFA where she serves as an officer and has earned the Greenhand Degree and Chapter Degree. She is also involved in Hope for Marshall County and Together We Church. She plans to attend cosmetology school.

Pickle is the daughter of Scott Pickle and Kara Strickland. She’s active in wrestling, was previously involved in choir and enlisted in the United States Army where she earned an award. Pickle also attends the Church of the Nazarene. She plans to attend the University of Central Oklahoma and major in criminal justice and forensic science, while also serving in the Army.

Farrar is the daughter of Josh Farrar and Keri Johnston. She enjoys riding horses and attends Dover Christian Church. Farrar plans to attend Tarleton State University and pursue a career as a child life specialist.

Hernandez is the daughter of Angelica Hernandez and Fabian Hernandez. She’s active in softball, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), Student Council, BETA Club and has completed a church internship. Hernandez plans to enlist in the United States Marine Corps.
