Rupp updates chamber of commerce events, plans with Altrua Club members
The Altrua Club met Oct. 16 at the Chisholm Trail Museum.
Members present were Carolyn Flood, Martha Burditt, Dana Golbek, Terri Peck, Jneanne Kadavy, Jeanette Kloeppel, Sue Robison, Julie Storm, Cheryl Wheelbarger, Jowanna Sisk, and Dorothy Whitaker.
The assistant curator gave a report on past and current activities including the success of the chuckwagon dinner held in October and the upcoming cast iron cooking class.
The guest speaker was Shauna Rupp, Kingfi sher Chamber of Commerce manager.
She told members about the numerous activities going on in Kingfisher including the Christmas parade and some of the changes that will take place.
She also explained that the fundraising for the welcome center has been completed and the process is moving forward.
The next meeting will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Chisholm Trail Museum with hostess Carolyn Flood and program leader Keri Bivins.
