Registered voters living within Kingfisher city limits will go to the polls Tuesday to decide the fate of a proposed designated sales tax.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

If approved, the 10-year, half-cent tax will be utilized to design, construct and furnish a new fire station, replacing the existing station on Main Street.

Excess funds generated will be used to create a designated fund for street repairs and other improvements.
