Sanders delivers food to health care workers
House Majority Leader Mike Sanders (R-Kingfisher) last week had pizzas and soft drinks delivered to health care workers who are conducting drive-thru testing for COVID-19 at the Kingfisher County Health Department.
He also delivered food from a local Kingfisher restaurant, The Shed Grill & Bar, to emergency room nurses at Mercy Hospital Kingfisher.
“This is just a way to say thank you to these dedicated health care workers who are working long hours at great risk to serve the public during this extraordinary time of need,” Sanders said.
“It is also a way to remind the public that testing for COVID-19 is available at about 80 sites throughout the state for anyone experiencing symptoms or who may have been exposed to someone with this virus. I continue to pray for the day this is all behind us.”
Sanders also had food delivered to health care workers at the Blaine and Woodward County health departments.
Regional drive-thru testing sites are open in multiple cities in Oklahoma as a result of a cross-county, city and state health system partnership.
Testing requirements and capacity vary by location.
