Kingfisher Lions Club has announced its Junior Lions for October 2019.

Earning the honor were Kingfisher High School seniors Sarah Sanders and Matthew Palmer.

Sanders is the daughter of Mike and Lisa Sanders.

She is active in band, drama, Mercy Student Careers Council and was a member of the 2018 Class 4A state championship cross country team.

Her other honors include National Honor Society, Oklahoma Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, superintendent’s honor roll, 4.0 Award, KHS Student of the Month, Oklahoma Girls State and Duke TIP state recognition.

Palmer is the son of Jeff and Kristi Palmer.

He is active in football, FCCLA and the Mercy Student Careers Council.

He has been inducted into National Honor Society and was an Oklahoma Boys State delegate from KHS.

Both Palmer and Sanders volunteer at the STARS program held at Kingfisher Middle School.
