School board OKs rehire of faculty, staff for 20-21

On top of finalizing graduation plans, awarding bids for the first phase of construction of the new midhigh school and approving temporary appropriations for the next school year, the Kingfisher Board of Education also approved more than 100 personnel hires at last Monday’s meeting.

After about a 30-minute executive session, the board unanimously approved rehiring a number of certified and non-certified personnel for 2020-21.

Certified personnel approved were Vicky Allen, Fay Barnett, Stephanie Bieren, Bridget Birdwell, Misty Blundell, Stan Blundell, Rhonda Bromlow, Kara Brueggen, Nicole Buck, Susan Campbell, Wendi Carter, Wyatt Carter, Sharon Clark, Chris Combs, Suzanne Crow, Micah Daugherty, Cortney Deterding, Tammy Duncan, Jane Erwin, Ed Evey, Stephanie Farrell, Morgan Finley, Leah Friesen, Connie Gallupe, Lili Giles, Tyler Gradert, Jarren Graham, Teresa Greco, Danny Green, Melanie Green, Diane Grellner, Laurie Hagar, Stephanie Harper, T.J. Retired teachers approved for yearly temporary contracts were Lou Barrick, Doug Jech, Dr. A.J. Johnson, Kathy Kadavy and Terry Willis.

Those rehired as administrative assistants were April Askey, Schrie Braden, Teresa Fletcher, Janet Hood, Terri Layn, Gia Mason, Heather Mercer, Christy Shields, Shelly Watkins and Shasta Yost.

Approved as teacher aides were Barbara Baker, Mary Bonilla, Rita Buckner, Leslie Click, Alicia Crawford, Tiffany Crawford, Stacey French, Becky Gibson, Lynne Hall, Josie Henry, Melissa Hill, Shondra Hoffman, Teri Hopkins, Jackie Jones, Jennifer Kirtley, Kara Kraus, Jarrett Loper, Monica Loper, Melba McLain, Kadisha Medina, Santiago Mejia, Amanda Mun, Jennifer Pralle, Bailey Price, Heather Prignitz, Amy Rodd, Jordan Smith, Briana Stitt, Stacy Themer, Tara Varnell, Melissa Warren and Lisa Williams.

Dakota Horn, Crisella Holmes, James Rowray, Pearl Underhill and Amy Wood were hired as bus drivers.

Cafeteria staff members approved were Tammy Castleberry, Lissetthe De la Torre, Dena Garcia, Tammie Homier, Deborah Morse and Kristina Murphey.

Maintenance and custodial staff members included Coye Altizer, Eugenia Altizer, Coquette Barrios, Natalie Branson, Patricia Celiz, Michael Clayton, Sandra Esparza, Gabriela Gutierrez, Maria Gutierrez, Danny Pflueger and Gary Sewell.

Heath Price was retained as the information technology specialist.

Approved for summer employment were Stan Blundell, Danny Green, Cason Matthews, Jeff Myers, Derek Patterson, Stuart Purintun, Gunner Snider and Dynton Townsend.

Board members also approved Dawn Tollefson as the encumbrance clerk, deputy board minutes clerk and deputy payroll treasurer; Pam Werner as treasurer, activity fund and child nutrition account custodian and board minutes clerk; and Amy Woods as payroll and insurance coordinator, deputy treasurer, deputy encumbrance clerk and deputy activity fund and child nutrition account custodian.
